3 Bridges Marathon – Saturday, December 16 – Parking and Transportation

Parking and transportation will be smooth and convenient. Trolleys will shuttle you from our parking locations and drop you off at the starting line. We appreciate our sponsor, Arkansas Trolley Company.

Do not attempt to drive down or to park on or at the bottom of River Mountain Road. This area is reserved for race officials, volunteers, and emergency vehicles. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in a ban from future 3 Bridges events.

5:00 a.m. Start Time: Early Starters and Early Spectators

Runner and spectator parking will be provided in only one location for early starters:

The early start trolley pickup is at 4:30 a.m. at the Trinity Assembly of God at 11210 Cantrell Road for the 5:00 a.m. Early starters are responsible for getting to this parking lot and for being at the starting line at 5:00 a.m. The 4:30 a.m. trolley from Trinity Assembly of God is the only option for starting line arrival for early starters, unless you want to take a run down the hill in the dark. We will have a parking crew on-site at 4:00 a.m. with reflective vests and flashlights.

7:00 a.m. Start Time: Normal Starters and Spectators

Runner and spectator parking will be provided in two locations:

  • First Baptist Church is located at 62 Pleasant Valley Drive. From Cantrell Road, turn south on Rodney Parham and First Baptist Church is on the left in approximately two miles. Park in any marked space in their large lot. Gather with the parking attendants at the north or south ends of the parking lot. The trolley will run approximately every ten minutes beginning at 5:00 a.m.
  • Cantrell West Building is located at 11300 Cantrell Road adjacent to the Trinity Assembly of God. Park in any marked spots in these two adjoining parking lots. Gather with the parking attendants west of the church and at the east and west sides of the office building.  Access this parking lot from either of the entrances along Cantrell Road west of the intersection of Cantrell and River Mountain Road, and not from the intersection of Cantrell and River Mountain Road. There will be a barricade present to block this entrance to the church.

The trolley will run approximately every ten minutes beginning at 4:30 a.m. Note again that the 5:00 a.m. Early Starters should be on the first trolley pickup at the Trinity Assembly of God.

If you plan to take a cab to the start, please have it deliver you to one of the designated parking lots. Cabs will not be allowed down River Mountain Drive.

Note that the last trolley to the starting line will leave each parking location at 6:15 a.m. The starting line will have tents, heaters, and ample bag drop for runners to stay warm after their arrival. You should not wait in your car to stay warm and risk missing the trolley and the start of the marathon.

The trolleys will run following the race until the last runners are returned to their cars. Note that the trolley pickups at the finish line will indicate the parking location designated for that trolley, either PLEASANT VALLEY or CANTRELL lots. When you are ready to return to your car, board the trolley with the sign identifying your parking location.

The trolley will also shuttle spectators to and from the finish line and parking locations for the duration of the race. Pass this on to your family and friends who will to come to the finish line. Pets are prohibited on the 3 Bridges Marathon trolley except for service animals.
